Email stewart@growthengines.us with anything at all — a bug, a movement that looks wrong, a number that seems off, a feature you want. It reaches one person and gets a reply.
Getting the app
Compound is in TestFlight while it is being built. You need an invite, Apple's free TestFlight app from the App Store, and an iPhone running iOS 18 or later.
Common things
A password needs eight characters or more, and the email address has to be one you can type twice the same way. The button turns on when both are right.
Tap Forgot your password on the sign-in screen and an email with a reset link will arrive within a few minutes. If it doesn't, check spam before emailing the address above.
Usually the server rather than your phone. Check your connection first; if other apps are fine, email the address above and say roughly when it happened.
Everything is saved to the server as you record it, so signing in on another device shows it. If a day looks wrong on one device and right on another, send a screenshot of both.
Tap Swap on any day to train something else, rest, or drop one of your own saved workouts on it. Under Workouts, Change my plan rewrites the rest of the week from a sentence. Nothing you have already finished is touched.
Log what you actually lifted and rate the set easy, right or hard. Next week moves from that rather than from a formula, and never by more than ten per cent on a movement you have history on.
A photograph is an estimate and says so when it is unsure. Every number on it can be typed over before you save it, and a barcode is more accurate than a photograph when the packet has one.
Your initial, top right, then Nutrition goals. Calories, protein, carbohydrate and fat all start as what the app works out from your body and your goal weight; type over any of them, and Recalculate puts them all back.
Your initial, top right, then Account → Delete account, confirmed with your password. Your account and every week, set, meal, habit and note attached to it are removed immediately and permanently.
Apple Health
Health is optional and the app works without it. If you allow it, finishing a session writes one strength training workout to Health so it closes your Fitness rings, and the app reads your most recent body weight to make the calorie estimate less rough. That weight is used on your phone and never sent anywhere. Turn it off any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
Your data
What the app stores, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it is written out in the privacy policy. The short version: your account and your training, no analytics, no advertising, nothing sold, and a delete button that means it.
